Ages 5 – 7
This program is designed for children ages 5 – 7 who want to learn martial arts. This class will review the basics of martial arts, self- defense and fitness. This program will also incorporate skills such as learning to focus, respect, discipline, self-control, confidence, and the importance of team work.
The BRSD Tigers program consists of three parts
Our students learn how to properly perform exercises, calisthenics, and how to stretch correctly.
Each class has a mat chat where the students review words such as focus, discipline, respect, and responsibility. We teach them the meaning of the word and how they can apply in school and in the dojo.
We teach our students how to defend themselves from scenarios such as if an adversary chokes them, tries to abduct them, strike them, or pushes them up against a wall.
This program meets three times a week for a duration of 45 minutes.
